El Fardou Ben Mohamed Interview

The Veria striker El Fardou Ben Mohamed scores one goal after the other, thus helping his team achieve its targets. In his exclusive interview for the official website of the Super League www.superleaguegreece.net, Ben pointed out that "we have a good team and I believe we will make it in the end," while at the same time spoke highly of the quality of life in the city of Veria: "I like the city of Veria very much. It's an ideal city to live in. People are friendly and the distances are quite short." He finally said that "I would like to play in the Champions League. I will keep working and I hope to make it with the help of Allah."

Question by Antonis Dimitriou, Vassilis Rafailidis

Do you believe that Veria will manage to stay in the division?

Yes, it's very likely. We have a good team and I believe we will make it in the end.

Question by Evangelos Tzanakas, Panos L., Yorgos Dervisidis

Would you wish to remain in the club the following season as well or would you accept to play for a bigger club, if you received a relevant proposal?

I have a contract with Veria until the summer of 2015. I only think of Veria and how to help it achieve its goals. If we receive a proposal for me in the summer from another club, we will see about it.

Question by Alexandros Petrou

Do you find the fact that not many players score alarming? Do you believe this is one of the reasons behind your current place in the table?

We create opportunities, but we don't have much luck and confidence. Also, we did not have a stable defence or attack in several matches and this is the reason behind our current place in the table, in my opinion.

Question by Yorgos Ayannitis

How does it feel playing for Veria?

I am really happy. I feel really beautiful to be a part of this club and I am really happy when I score and help the team win.

Question by Vassilis Tsakiridis

What would you advise young football players who wish to become professional footballers?

My advice to young players would be that no matter how hard it is, if you look at the future and set goals, you will make it through hard work.

Question by Kostas Vyzas

What is your impression from this season's Greek championship and the city of Veria?

I like the city of Veria very much. It's an ideal city to live in. People are friendly and the distances are quite short. As regards the Greek championship, it's quite different from the French one. French clubs focus on tactics and defence, whereas Greek clubs adopt a more freestyle play and only 2-3 clubs differentiate from the rest.

Question by Tassos Dimitriou

You are in a very good shape this season and of the most well-loved players in Veria. What would you like to say to the fans and supporters of Veria?

I am very satisfied with the fans. It is very important that the fans support us even more and give us the strength in our fight to not get relegated. We are bound to make it as long as the stands are full of people!

Were you not a footballer, what would you rather be and why?

I am into computers, for many years now. I was attending a college, however unfortunately I stopped in order to move on with football.

Where and how do you see yourself in 5-6 years from now?

I cannot predict the future. I would like to play in the Champions League. I will keep working and I hope to make it with the help of Allah.

What is your favourite hobby?

I like very much to spend my spare time with my wife and 2 boys: my oldest is 4 years old and my youngest is 4 months old.
