Chrysovalantis Kozoronis Interview

"The club has had a really good display, however we should only be thinking about how we will continue to do well and to improve even better through our work," pointed out Chrysovalantis Kozoronis in his exclusive interview for the official website of the Super League. The Ergotelis midfielder talked about the functioning of the club in the pitch by stating that: "One of the club's strong points is our total defending function. The coach has done a really good job and it is important for a club to not easily concede a goal," while as regards the development of the championship he pointed out that: "the championship will be interesting until the very last matchday." What is your greatest advantage in your opinion? Your running on the pitch or your ability to take the set pieces?

"I believe that my greatest advantage on the pitch is my passion. However, a player playing in the top leagues should combine many characteristics in order to be able to meet the demands. Nonetheless, one of my main advantages is set pieces as well."

What is your opinion on the club's display this season? It is still very early, but do you believe that it can be among the five top clubs of the Superleague?

"It is indeed very soon to predict anything. The club has had a really good display, however we should only be thinking about how we will continue to do well and to improve even better through our work.

We will see what we have achieved at the end of the season."

Olympiacos and Ergotelis are the two clubs with no losses in the championship, whereas your club has the second best defence. Do you believe that the combination of these two elements has led the club to its current position in the classification list?

"To be in the top positions of the ranking, it takes several things that need to be of high quality. Firstly, the team has to be united, to try to achieve the best possible result in every match and to have a winning attitude.

One of the club's strong points is our total defending function. The coach has done a really good job and it is important for a club to not easily concede a goal.

It is good that we have no losses, however we do not rely on that and look at the future and the next match."

 

Are you stressed about the club's future in the championship given your very good start at it?

"No, we are not stressed because what is important for us is not the past, but our future matches. This is our goal and this is what we will work on in order to continue the same way and even better, since this is what I believe a great club should do."

 

What was the goal set by the club at the beginning of the season?

"Every club's goal, that is promoted in the Super League, is to have a good start with positive results.

However, each club sets its goal on the pitch. Our team, from the beginning, is looking at its next opponent and tries to win the three points every time."

 

What are your personal goals? Would you wish to play for an international club at some point or is this something you are not thinking about yet?

"My first goal is to win a position in the team of Ergotelis. I like to set high goals and my dream is that at some point I will take the leap and play for an international club."

 

What is your opinion on this season's championship so far and what do you see for the future?

"With the exception of two to three clubs, most teams in this year's campaign are at the same level and matches are usually decided based on details.

I believe that the championship will be interesting until the very last matchday; the competition will be high until the end."

 

What would you like to say to the fans and supporters of Ergotelis?

"I wish to ask them to continue being on our side, to support us in every match. We will do our best to make them happy at the end of the championship."

 

What are your hobbies?

"I spend my spare time with my friends, who are mainly players of our club. I also spend a lot of time with my family. I also spend many hours on extra training sessions so I can work further on my weak points."
